Weight Cases
This procedure modifies the data file by duplicating rows by a weight variable. The number of rows created for each line is the value of the weight variable in that line.
From the Data Editor, select Data|Weight Cases. This will bring up the following form.
This will produce the following results for the given input file.
Data Variables
These are the Data Variables which may be used to weight cases.
Selection Button
Click this button to select/deselect the Weight Variable.
Weight Variable
This is the variable that will be used to weight the data.
OK Button
Click this button to modify the data file using the Weight variable
You will shown the size of the new file and asked to confirm the creation of the new rows.
Cancel Button
Click this button to cancel Weight Cases.
